Stars Win Weeks. Sleepers Win Leagues.

Anybody can spend a first-round pick on a sure thing. Championships get built three rounds later, on the players the room undervalues. A sleeper isn’t a long shot — it’s a player whose price hasn’t caught up to his situation yet. Heading into 2026, free agency and the draft reshuffled enough depth charts to open real gaps between what these six are worth and what they’re costing. Here’s the case for each, with the situation that makes it work.

1. Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The market is punishing Irving for an efficiency dip and the arrival of Kenneth Gainwell — and both reactions are overcooked. Gainwell was brought in as depth, not a true committee partner, and Irving has already flashed legitimate workhorse usage. The real swing factor is offensive line health, not the back. He’s going off boards as a fringe RB2 when the workload says he should be a comfortable one. That’s the textbook definition of a value.

2. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Egbuka’s rookie line — 63 catches, 938 yards, 6 touchdowns — undersells how the year actually went. He came out of the gate as one of the best young receivers in football before a quiet second half dragged his final numbers, and his ADP, down with it. Here’s what changed since: Mike Evans left for the 49ers, vaulting Egbuka into the focal-point role in Tampa’s passing game alongside Chris Godwin. A second-year leap plus vacated target volume is the breakout recipe. You’re buying the slow finish, not the hot start — which is exactly when to buy.

3. Colston Loveland, TE, Chicago Bears

The tight end you draft a round before everyone wishes they had. Loveland was quiet early as a rookie, then caught fire down the stretch and into the playoffs, ultimately leading the Bears in receiving and establishing himself as one of Caleb Williams’ most trusted targets. Two tailwinds for 2026: Chicago traded DJ Moore to Buffalo, freeing up targets, and the offense should keep climbing in Year 2 under Ben Johnson. With that quarterback chemistry already built, Loveland has a real path to a top-five finish at a position where everyone’s desperate for one.

4. Tyler Shough, QB, New Orleans Saints

The cheapest path to a starting quarterback with upside. Shough’s counting stats as a rookie were modest, but he flashed startable fantasy stretches, with sneaky rushing production propping up the floor. Late-round quarterbacks who run are how you punt the position and still win it. Let the room draft names; you take the points.

5. Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Pierce has quietly been one of the league’s most efficient deep threats, and his WR4/WR5 price doesn’t reflect the upside if the target share ticks up. He’s the kind of best-ball and deeper-redraft pick that costs you almost nothing and occasionally hands you a 30-point week out of nowhere. Volume is the only thing standing between him and a real role.

6. Parker Washington, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

A true late-round dart with a clear thread to upside: he’s tied to Trevor Lawrence in an offense still looking for someone to step forward at receiver. Washington has flashed in limited chances, and an expanded role would make his near-free ADP look silly. Stash him on a bench and see if the opportunity opens.

The Bottom Line

Three of these six (Egbuka, Loveland, Shough) are second-year players whose rookie stat lines hide what they became by December — that’s where the cleanest value lives every offseason. The other three (Irving, Pierce, Washington) are veterans the market has either forgotten or never noticed. Draft your stars early, then spend the middle and late rounds here. That’s the math that wins leagues.
